This is not a statement.

The word “current” implies belonging to the the present time. I chose that word as a placeholder and to loosely represent my diaristic approach to documenting daily life circa 2019-onward until I could come up with a project name. This was before March of 2020 when COVID-19 was declared a pandemic and mandates like social distancing and self-isolation became the norm. My work has long been about domestic spaces and the mundane. I'm curious what clues will be used to recognize the before and after of this solitude.

For now, the images will live here in one place as life tends to run together without borders. When uncertainty prevails, routine has always been a comfort.
