I am Optimistic About the Future (An Atlas of Anxiety)
2007, 2010
I am Optimistic About the Future (An Atlas of Anxiety) is an organic installation consisting of an evolving collection of studio ephemera, broken technology, horoscopes, frantic drawings, packing materials, photographs, slip-shod paintings, post-it notes, index cards, printed screen grabs, etc., reflecting my response to current events and everyday life. It originated in 2001 with a printed flowchart showing the reorganization of the U.S. Federal Government into one ginormous bureaucracy with the formation of the Department of Homeland Security.
