2020 -

A visual journal of analog and digital photographs documenting the passage of time just prior to, and during the 2020 pandemic. By pairing headlines and seemingly unrelated information with banal documents of daily life, the work alters the viewer’s sense of time and place; cause and effect.


When California went into lockdown, I set about trying to make sense of the imposed order and ensuing chaos of life during quarantine. Black Lives Matter, death counts, environmental disasters, and politics filled the news. I began documenting the minutiae of daily life with an even greater attention to detail.
